At Willowbrook Mead we see the importance of offering our pupils extra curricular activities as learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom.  We offer a variety of activities before and after the school day.

All our clubs are free of charge and range from sporting clubs to arts and crafts.

Please see Class Dojo for our latest information on clubs or call the school admin team for information.

Our breakfast club starts at 8am.  It is based in our infant hall and children can enter through the door on our main driveway.

Children in Years 1-6 are welcome to turn up without booking a place.

Children who attend can choose a free breakfast, which is offered in partnership with “Magic Breakfast” (See below for more information about them).

The breakfast consists of:

  • A choice of cereals

or

  • a toasted bagel with butter

For pupils in Nursery and Reception bagels are provided in the classroom during their morning routine.

Activities are also on offer for the children attending Breakfast Club including board and card games, the use of iPads, colouring sheets and Just Dance.

Children who don’t attend breakfast club, and come to school without having eaten breakfast, are welcome to attend our nurture breakfast club to have a bagel or cereal before they start their lessons.  Nurture Breakfast Club is ran by our Family Support Worker.

If children need to attend they just need to let their teacher know that they haven’t had breakfast that morning.

Willowbrook Mead is very proud to be partnered with Magic Breakfast.

A “magic” breakfast is healthy and nutritious. It is designed to give children energy, protein, vitamins and minerals, and is low in sugar, salt and fat.  The food Magic Breakfast provides to schools complies with government school food standards and regulations in Scotland and England

Willowbrook Mead is committed to ensuring no child is too hungry to learn.
