It is a privilege to welcome you to Willowbrook Mead Primary Academy.  At Willowbrook, we believe that every child deserves to achieve and thrive. We are a calm, caring and ambitious school where children are known, valued and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.

We want our children to achieve highly, but we believe a great education is about more than academic outcomes alone. Primary school helps shape the people our children will become. That is why we place character alongside academic success and explicitly teach our six Learning Choices: to be Ready, Respectful, Responsible, Reciprocal, Reflective and Resilient.

These choices are part of everyday life at Willowbrook. We want our children to think deeply and make good choices; to participate, listen, talk and work well with others; and to develop the confidence and resilience to make a positive difference. We capture that ambition in three words:

We have high expectations for every child while recognising that children do not all need the same things in order to succeed. We work hard to create classrooms that are calm, safe, predictable, purposeful, inclusive and ambitious, where children feel secure enough to contribute, challenge themselves, make mistakes and keep learning.

Willowbrook is also a wonderful place to be a child. We are incredibly fortunate to have an amazing setting, with extensive grounds and excellent facilities that provide space for children to learn, play, explore and grow. We want children to enjoy their primary years, experience a rich range of opportunities and leave us with happy memories of their time here.

Most importantly, Willowbrook is about its people. Our children are wonderful, and I am incredibly proud of the dedicated staff who work with them every day. There is a real commitment across our team to knowing our children well, working together and doing what will make the greatest difference for them.
